What’s in Speed Speller?

Students practice spelling patterns with instant audio and visual feedback. Each warm-up lasts for about 3 minutes.

Students will practice spelling patterns in a timed video with instant feedback!

Which Consonant Digraphs?

Students will practice single-syllable words with the following digraphs: ch, sh, th, ph, gh, wh, and kn.

Each day students will focus on two consonant digraphs at initial and final positions. Here are the words for the new Speed Speller warm-ups:

Which Short Vowels?

Students in 2nd and 3rd-grade should master short vowels with a high degree of automaticity for decoding and spelling.
